Afghanistan through to super sixes stage after Nepal’s win

Harare: Nepal kept Afghanistan' s World Cup Qualifiers hope alive after their five-wicket win over Hong Kong on Monday.

On the bases of Net Run Rate (NRR) Afghanistan grabbed third slot in the group B table and managed to qualify for the next stage.

Afghanistan last convincing win over Nepal helped the men in blue to get better position in the table but still only Nepal win over Hong Kong could ensure Afghanistan’s future in the tournament.

Nepal beat Hong Kong by five wickets in the group B match. Both the team were unable to qualify for the next stage as they were placed in the fourth and fifth positions in the table.
